| Q1- Can we coat cast plaster parts with Kleer Plaztik? We mold gypsum picture frames and are looking for a chip resistant skin-veneer which will prevent chipping-handling damage. |
| A2-Yes, when your cast parts are fully hardened and dry you can spray on or brush on-apply Kleer Plaztik. |
| You can add gold-silver pigments for a simulated gold/silver leaf finish. |
| If you are post finishing with silver nitrate lacquers for gold leaf coatings Kleer Plaztik functions as an excellent ground-prime coat for sensitizing solutions. |
| Also!! It is advisable to add Aqua Form ll,product
code # 141, to your plaster slurry, Aqua Form II is a water based liquid polymer which also toughens the cast plaster part. It too stops chipping-cracking during shipping. Add Aqua Form @ 50% such as 50/50 water + Aqua Form. |
| Q2-Can I add pigments to Kleer Plaztik? What kind-sources? |
| A2-Use only oil-solvent soluble dyes and pigments. We provide an extensive supplier-vendor list for purchasing colorants. |

| Q3-Can I paint dried Kleer Plaztik parts with scenic/exhibit paints? |
| A3-Common water based acrylic latex paints can be used. Also other film forming finishes such as : Acrilon product code #128 , Enviroseal product code #154 , Zeltex product code # 278. |
| Q4-We wish to form a rigid face and back fill it with a rigid clear plastic. |
| Can you recommend a non shrinkable pourable clear casting resin? This is for an exhibit at a museum. |
| A4-Yes, use Opti Kleer II product code #138. This is a two component epoxy casting compound which hardens at room temperature to a see through-water clear plastic and can be poured in layers or as a mass cast fill polymer. |
| Opti Kleer II will stick to Kleer Plaztik. |
| Q5-How long will Kleer Plaztik last? Will it yellow and degrade in time? |
| A5-All polymers-synthetic materials degrade-amber-yellow in time. You can add UV inhibitors, anti-oxidants, and stabilizers for enhanced life cycle durability. |
| Kleer Plaztik much like Plexiglas and acrylic resins demonstrates a long life cycle with out degrading. |
| This is all conditional and is subject to climatic conditions and other exposures. |
| Q6-l/l/e build model airplanes and were told Kleer Plaztik can be used as a dope- lacquer on fabrics applied to wings, the fuselage + control surfaces. |
| When dry can Kleer Plaztik shrink the fabric to an ultra smooth skin? |
| Can we spray Kleer Plaztik like ordinary lacquers? |
| A6-Yes! Kleer Plaztik is used on all manner of fabric covered models and is excellent for spray applied lacquers by thinning with diluents. |
| Q7-I'm a product development designer working in confined area. Do I need fume exhaustion equipment? |
| A7-We recommend a respirator gloves and fume exhaustion set ups much like any lacquer-painting operations good hygienic practices are necessary. |

| Q8-We carve styro foam shapes for scenery, displays and exhibits. We need a thick skin-veneer which won't build up. |
| Can we spray your Kleer Plaztik onto the Foam surface? |
| A8-No! Kleer Plaztik will eat-dissolve the foam! |
| First precoat seal and prime the foam surface using Aqua Form product code #108 or use Opti Kleer Epoxy product code # 105. These will dad-shield and protect the foam against solvents-chemicals that melt the foam. |
| Once primed then apply Kleer Plaztik as a permanent finish. |
| Q9-We need to produce realistic stained glass panels such as leaded glass church windows, we are a scenic shop painting back drops and are building a church film set. We were told Kleer Plaztik can be poured on a sheet of film- plastic and will harden to a stiff self-supporting shape. We have been pouring these panels using polyester resin which we would like to replace with another form of resin. Can we use your Kleer Plaztik for this application and is there a way to pour the lead lines to separate the colored areas? Also can you offer us a starter formulation on what to do first? Any suggestions-formulas would be appreciated. |
| A9-Yes, Kleer Plaztik is excellent for reproduction leaded glass windows, old Tiffany style lamp shades, point of purchase displays, and colorful divider panels for room decor. See attached Kleer Plaztik "tech talk" bulletin for mix procedure, materials used, and formula assistance. This is a fast inexpensive procedure resulting in very attractive realistic windows. |
