Zeltex III

Questions & Answers

Q1. Can I use your Zeltex III indoors at a health and wellness therapy- rehabilitation center? Several patients are sensitive to toxic materials that offgas volatile irritating chemicals. Is there a lingering pronounced smell?
A1. No! Zeltex is odorless. No stink, no smells! During application and after it dries. This is an Eco-friendly chemistry suitable for household and hospital applications.

Q2. We would like to apply a membrane on our roof garden to stop water infiltration through a porous surface that continues to drip/leak due to condensation, sweating, dripping into our neighbor's house. Is Zeltex III capable of dealing with standing-ponding water due to ice and snow?
A2. Yes! Zeltex III is impermeable, waterproof, and aggressively adheres to existing pre-applied materials. Zeltex III fills microporous pinholes. Under load and wind shear Zeltex III tenaciously bonds to asphalts, single ply membranes, felts, tar paper, etc. A seamless monolithic membrane is
rapidly formed for assured all weather conditions.

Q3. Can Zeltex III meet fire code inside a theatre?
A3. Yes! We have developed additives that upgrade Zeltex III. Flame retardants including an intumescent char forming additive assists with fire stopping barriers for direct flame fire code compliance. Zeltex III accepts high loadings of fire suppression "0" smoke release retardants.

Q4. We are waterproofing contractor, we need to seal coat particle board siding on homes prior to installation of Styrofoam insulation board to prevent water seepage/damage due to exterior insulation foam (ElFs), mold/mildew, and indoor air quality problems continue to plague Florida developments. Is Zeltex III good for this application? Will it stop mold,
mildew, spore development?
A4. Zeltex is waterproof and fast drying; it can be applied on siding materials without warping-swelling plywood or any boardstock. Additionally, we have a simple biocidal additive that stops mold development. There are structural insulation panels (SIPs) contractors who have tested Zeltex III as a combined sealant and adhesive to assemble-laminate rigid foam
between two layers of structural board.

Q5. We need a water based (RF) radio frequency shielding barrier for injection molded parts. Applications-components include laptop computers, cellular phones, medical electronics, printed circuitry, and defense related security EMI-EMF-RF grounding. Can Zeltex III coat polycarbonate, acrylic plastics?
A5. Yes! Zeltex accepts a variety of fillers-additives for conductive-deflective membranes. Carbon, graphite, ferrites, and combinations of electrolyte- cathodic-anodic materials can be suspended-encapsulated in situ. "RF" shielding for appliances, building envelopes (i.e. embassies, federal buildings, and communications facilities) require security shielding overcoat protection to prevent intrusive problems. Zeltex III functions as a matrix carrier for taggants-nanoparticles and functional anti-static deflectional protection.

Q6. As a precast producer we need a water based sealant for concrete. Is Zeltex suitable for standing water such as spring boxes/cisterns?
A6. Yes. Zeltex III forms a tight seal/liner on concrete and can be applied to uncured fresh poured cement mixtures as a moisture control barrier. Pigments can be added for saturated color so you can observe coverage.

Q7. Can I spray Zeltex on my sloping driveway? I have used many sealants- water based emulsions that claim non-slip better traction. These are all marketing hype claims and I have slid downhill repeatedly in the winter. Lots of dented fenders!!
A7. Zeltex accepts granular additives such as tire crumb, carbon, silica, ground glass, fine aggregates, sand, and frits. As an elastomeric binder Zeltex III has an elastoplastic fuel resistant property. No hydrocarbon absorption and continuing vapor-water barrier protection. It has incredible grip and grab non-slip properties. We are evaluating racetrack and airport
runway applications for better safety to prevent sliding.
